Product profile

About the product

Tomatoes are among the most demanded export vegetables, and Egypt grows them year-round in open fields and protected greenhouses, allowing a continuous supply of fruit with uniform colour and size. We offer varieties for fresh consumption and others for processing, sorted precisely by ripeness stage and colour.

Origin & growing regions01

Origin & growing regions

Tomatoes are sourced from Egypt's main production areas such as Nubaria, Beheira, Ismailia and Upper Egypt, complemented by partner production from Almería, Spain during the winter peak. The region varies by variety and timing of demand.

Varieties, sizes & grades02

Packaging04

Packaging

Open 5–6 kg cartons in single or double layer, 10 kg plastic crates for nearby markets, and 250–500 g punnets for cherry tomatoes. Labels, barcodes and private branding can be customised for the buyer.

Handling, quality & cold chain05

Handling, quality & cold chain

Fruit is pre-cooled right after harvest and held at 10–13 °C with 85–90% relative humidity to keep firmness and avoid chilling injury. Shelf life is 2–3 weeks depending on ripeness, with quality checks for firmness, defects and pesticide residues before shipping.

Commercial specifications, origin, seasonal windows and certifications require supplier confirmation.
